The story of life turnaround: The Shoe Sales Assistant
The company selling shoes wanted to expand its market, so they sent two salespeople to explore the market in Africa.
The first person, upon landing, noticed that no one was wearing shoes there at all. They returned to inform the management that there was no chance of expanding the market because people there didn't wear shoes.
However, the second salesperson came back and said, "We are going to be rich because no one here wears shoes. If we can explain the benefits of wearing shoes, we will sell a lot. It's a huge market."
This story teaches us that opportunities depend on each person's perspective. Many individuals close their own opportunities just because they see what seems impossible. However, in every crisis, there are people who turn their lives around from situations that many perceive as impossible.
For example, during the COVID crisis, many people saw it as a disaster, but some saw it as an opportunity to grow. They learned new things and did new things. It's about learning to adapt, not sticking to the past or old success. We have to think positively and see opportunities in every situation, even those that seem hidden.
