The story of a Farmer and the Aged Ox
One day, a farmer took his old ox for a walk. Due to the ox's clumsiness, it fell into a hole. Instead of helping the ox out, the farmer thought it was useless because it was old. He asked his neighbors to help bury the hole along with the old ox.
Initially, the ox cried and thought its owner was cruel. It felt like it was old and useless, but after a while, it became quiet. While the farmer was burying the hole, he assumed the ox might have died and that burying it would be sufficient. However, as the farmer shoveled dirt over the ox, it shook off the soil and eventually stood up.
From this tale, if we compare the sand that the farmer shoveled onto the ox in the hole to the problems we face, it's like how if we refuse to let problems overwhelm us and instead use them to improve ourselves, or simply put, if we rise above the problem or solve it, it will make us better every time we encounter such problems.
We have the choice of allowing problems to overwhelm us or choosing to grow and become stronger from them.
